i've used spirals with great success, the 'tube' cfl's work fine too, they tend to be the higher wattage types which are more expensive

Thats pretty nice where did you find the multi bulb sockets? Can I use regular CFLs like the kind you buy from home depot or do they have to be the specialized grow CFLs?

i used 26w 5500k from home depot for veg, they worked great
used 26w 2700k GE cfl's from walmart for flower, again they worked great
here's an example of what you can do with these little bulbs
