I do have a question. We were going to get the Digital ph meter and ran into some problems that required some fixing in the house and put us behind a bit... so the ph meter is on hold, again.

But..... Hubby wants to know what is the best method for PH'ing the water after he has added Sensi Bloom. He said he added the nutes to the water and then ph'd it again (with the color chart) and needed to bring it up. Now he added a few drops of PH up and the color is off because of the color of the nutes. Its distorting the color chart to get an exact ph. He wants to make sure that everything is properly done and does not want to play with the ph up and down too much. He also tried adding more water hoping to bring it up.... and that didnt work.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any comments and suggestions.

besides a digital meter. u can bring ph up with some sodium bicarbonate(baking soda). and bring it down with sum lemon juice. be easy with both uf um cause ide say about 1teaspoon to move a full point for each. pends kinda on ur water (hardness). goodtimez and goodluck

Thanks Stonesheild!!..........I am trying to figure out something else other than the color chart and the digi meter to use.

But, will the lemon juice and sodium bicarb have a neg effect on the water as if you used the actual ph up and ph down? I was told that bringing it up and down to many times to get it right is not good either.

ur right its not a good thing to keep having to bring ur ph up and down within the same mixing. but a little here and there wont hurt it. just dont go throwing it 2 whole points off then needing to fix it. ull get it when ya start. as far as the newts go. if ya can find out the PH of the solution. would help to make a decision on how bad its throwing ur tea off. if anything ive noticed that most organic newts bring ur ph up a little.
