has anyone used Tin foil for reflection? I hear it might cause hot spots but will it do for now?

better with it than without it. chances are ur lights aren't that hot so don't worry about hot spots. if ur not using HID, ur not gonna burn shit up. the foil will reflect lumens and increase your yield. do it up man, no shit.

if i'm wrong and u have serious lighting, yea they'll burn ur leaves and shit.

for the weekend yes it'll be ok. hey don't leave it up tho. check out some white paint. i may or may not work for the largest global architectural paint manufacturer and could possibly give u some good advice on some good white paint for light reflection. I would use a semi-gloss white latex based paint in a lowes or home depot store. actually, Olympic paint has a mildew/mold resistant paint for Kitchen and bathrooms that is in a semi-gloss and in ultra-white(base 1). Behr at home depot is almost assuredly the same. check that out man....paint some wood or something and use it as a reflector.

How can white paint be better then tin-foil? maybee im dumb but you shine a flashlight on a white wall you dont get a reflection

Science has proved it there is more usable light with white walls.

And if you want Mylar. Use metallic gift wrap. Something poly is just a fancy way of saying mylar.
