Why Is There Mold On My.....

hey guys im new here....
just a quick question any help would be appreciated, ive read some previous threads on here but none seem to answer my question. i just got done with looking over my "stash" and i just noticed all this white stuff all over alot of it accompanied by a horrible smell, what would cause this? they are regs? any info please help, and is this stuff now garbage??

As much as i hate being the bearer of bad news, im sorry to say it Jessica, but your buds are ruined. Mould is a real bitch when it comes to weed, your fighting it when your growing it, drying, curing it, and as youve been unlucky enough to discover, when your storin it too. Store buds in a cool, dry place in a sealed bag (i keep mine in one of those heavy duty freezer-lock ziploc baggies). Ive read things that say to store em sealed in a freezer and other places. I wouldnt know about those methods, ive never tried em, but with the method previously described ive never had any buds catch mould. Hope it helps, and i pray it dont happen again to ya (thatd just suck:P

I wouldn't say ruined I've had it happen, put them out with a fan on them brush off mold or cut away pieces that are moldy

Iunno, like i said ive never had my buds turn to mould, but personally if they did, id just chuck them. Smoking mould just doesnt seem like a good idea to me, and short of totally sterilizing your buds, theres no way to be sure youve eliminated all of the mould spores. Sorry again to be the bearer of bad news, its your health, but honestly, do you really wanna risk it?

I'd say that you thought the bud was dry when it wasn't and put it in a sealed container... allowing your stash to sweat. Sometimes the bud may appear dry but could still have a day or two to go. If you try and cure wet (damp) bud you are asking for mold.

Don't store your stash in a zip lock bag. Friction. Try vaccum sealing them in a glass quart jar.

Hey guys,

First post here....Im experiencing the same problem and after a little research i've found that you can just cut the mould off the affected buds

It may taste a little funky but the heat will kill the mould that may still linger and it's not that harmful anyway after smoking.

DO NOT SMOKE MOLD. It is hazardous to your health and causes respitory problems. Think about it, mold is an airborne bacteria. When you smoke it, you inhale it to your lungs which are DARK WET AREAS WITH MANY CREVISES. You will get sick and can die if you smoke too much. Throw ALL the herb away that has mold on it. DO NOT BRUSH IT OFF AND SMOKE IT..

Passing info on to use or keep moldy buds is a bad practice and I suggest you stop before you kill someone.

It depends on the mold if its dangerous.

It is not okey to inhale mould , but in a well mixed weed you might kill most of them by fire before they reach you.

The major danger is allergic reaction ,-
