I just bought about a 4 inch tall clone. It came in a cube of rockwool. I had intended to plant it in a 1.5 gallon pot and put it under 16/8 fluorescent light. I was wondering if this is right, and what my watering cycles should be. Thanks guys. Also I would love this plant to not get much higher than like 2 ft , if possible.

18/6 lighting would be better.

your setup sounds fine but make sure the lights are nearly touching the leaves or you may get some stretching... for flowering you will def need some more light. Home depot sells a 100w CFL (security flood light) for $65, you have to hard-wire it to a plug but thats only about $5. I use that for my early vegging and it works great. I have 12 seedlings under it right now so one clone will be very healthy and compact in growth. You could flower under it if you wanted to so it's a good value, a lot cheaper than an HPS and gives better results that lots of smaller CFL's.
