Default First timer, have questions
Hello everyone. I'm new to the growing world, and real enjoy the help this site has provided thus far. Im running into my first problems (maybe), at my very first grow attempt.

I propagated 3 seeds, in a little homemade chamber 3 weeks ago. They all sprouted and I successfully transplanted them into coffee mugs the first time about 2 weeks ago. 2 days ago I put them into they're more permanent home in 18 oz Solo red plastic cups. Today I checked them and I noticed the cotyledons on 2 of them are curling and yellow (one even has black on the tips). These 2 plants have very droopy leaves as well. Is it normal for the cotyledons to yellow and die or fall off?? Could it be stress or shock from the recent transplant perhaps? Any suggestions will help I'm a total noob. Thanks!

it is normal for the cotyledons to yellow and fall off - should happen a few weeks after appearing
the droopiness is more of a concern - as a guess, probably over watering - pictures would help

If you haven't watered since you 1st posted, you would think the plant would spring back if it was over watered.
And that is a bit early for the cotyledon leaves to yellow. Might be strain though.
Some strains have that look, could be normal. What is the soil?

They are still young give it some time and like they said let it be light before you water. She should perk back up.If u r using cfls or floros you can bring the lights closer to 2 inches from the tops hope that helps.

I've got them under 2 40W flouro 4ft lights. They are the daylight 6500K temp. with 2325 lumens output. I've had the lights hanging about 2-3 inches above each plant running 24hrs the first 2 weeks. I just switched to 18/6. The soil is professional potting soil, mix contains pine bark, peat moss, perlite, and wetting agent. It has a .20-.10-.10 NPK rating. I've tested the water and soil for pH and results were 7. I have a big fan blowing on the softly all day. I watered them immediately after I transplanted into new cups, I water them again yesterday which was a little more then 24 hrs since the transplant but haven't watered them since. I checked them just now and they're looking a little better, the 2 are still kinda droopy. The cotyledon are starting to get some green back and less yellow. i guess they went under some stress from the transplant. Hopefully they continue to perk up. Any suggestions for improvements I can make. How is the growth looking for 3 weeks since germ, 2-2.5 weeks since sprouting??

More light, more lights. I would add at least two more CFL lights. Then you will need to add a fan for fresh air, a larger area to grow, a carbon filter and the next thing you know you have a big ass grow box in some room in your house. Pretty soon you are planning grow areas in all the rooms in your house house. "Honey why don't you go sleep under the 5 Purple Urkle's; pretend you're camping."

I'm even using my toilet as an improvised hydroponic system, the bowl will hold two plants. You just need to teach your cat how to flush the toilet every 15 minutes. Little Bastard! Once a day I go in there (I ask the cat to leave) and I shit all over my girls. About fives time a day I go in there and give them their dirty, naughty, nutes. "You want your nitrogen bitches!" I scream; then I piss all over those red hair bioootches. Sometimes I'll scream, "remember Vietnam!" or "Little Bastard!" if I catch my cat watching me piss... that's his name.

Fuck I'm high right now. Blueberry.

ph of 7 is a bit high, bringing it down to 6.5 would be better
i'm not familiar with using pine bark in soil for mj, might be ok but many plants don't find pine agreeable
maybe it's just pine needles that have an issue
