I've just stuck some seeds in some paper towel & water i plan to grow them in my cupboard. do you think it will be ok to grow them in my cupboard? or will ventilation become a problem for plants health and smell when it comes to budding?
and how many CFL's will i need? to get good growth, as i cant afford MH or sodium bulbs. I also have some T5 40 something Watt 4ft long. I've got 6 tubes and 4 ballasts but id have to wire them up which i don't know how to do which should i use? |

Use the T5's for sure dude. Much more efficient.
But yes, ventilation will be a problem so you need to think about that first. Smell is only a concern if anyone but you can smell it, in which case you need to think about filters as well. I think you should spend some time reading the FAQ section mate....there really is a lot of good info. After reading the FAQ's you will understand the importance of ventilation. Good luck!!

seems i dont have enough room in by cupboard for the T5 lights is only 1.2m wide 4ft and the tubes themselves are that long, i would have to have the holders there aswell the whole usit setup would me min 1.3-1.4m long.
looks like ill have to use CFL's. so how many for 5-6 plants at 42w another question about ventilation, if had a small extractor fan sucking air out from the cupboard into the roof, would that just spread the smell around the house during the budding stage? or would it ventilate the cupboard of smell and give sufficient air to the plants? id like to keep noise to a minimum though so could i leave the cupboard closed and have desk fan going inside the wardrobe? would that give enough air to the plants? and during budding stage would smell be a big problem, if smell is going to be a problem ill just move them to a mates house during the flowering/budding stage dimensions of the wardrobe(cupboard) 1.2m (4ft) x 2.3m (7.5m) x 65cm (2ft) |

well man im going to have to tell you that your going to need quite a bit of cfls for 1 plant that my buddy has he used 4 around the plant you dont want to put them on the top you want them kinda tilted towards the sides of the plant so they can get more light for the ventilation problem we have the same problem so you can use 1 fan to extract air somewhere else and 1 fan to bring air in and another fan just blowing gently around the plants im a newbie too so if in anything i am wrong any1 out there please feel free to correct me
