just bowl say 2 oz of stems in 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol on low heat. Bring to a boil, slowly. Use an empty jar and fold a coffee filt in half, then fold in half again making a pouch. Put the filter over the top of them jar, with about half of the filter inside the jar and pour your liquid into the filter and strain it.

Repeat the process til you get a dark colored liquid and let it set over night, it will thicken up.

reason for boiling the alcohol slowly is to prevent flame ups and to SLOWLY boil/evaperate the 'alcohol' out, so you are left with thc in its natural form..

Try it, it works. Have done this for the past 5 years, makes some hellacious brownie butter

oh, and Enjoy

Thanks for all the replies fellow st0ners and cannabis chemists So from what I've read, the hashy powder was the left over of whatevers in the lighter fluid.. so does that mean the fuel dissolved the thc into nothing? because you'd think I would be left with something aside from the fuel's leftovers..

But either way, I didn't smoke it, not worth the risk, but I'm goin to make a batch next years harvest, or buy and oz. and do it.

I just re-read your first post and noticed the you used 10 grams of material. That really isnt enough to produce very much oil at all. It most likely got absorbed by the other stuff. I had thought you said you used 10 ounces! That would make some oil. I dont like to process less han a qp at a time, it just doesnt seem worth the time and mess.
The reason I dont like to add heating to the process, other than the risk of flameups, is that cooking the alcohol out of the oil always makes it a little darker.
