Yo Sampson! Whats crackin? Would you care to take a look at my latest pictures on my thread and throw some feedback at me? It looks like I have some sort of deficiency going on, but I can't identify it. I think it may be magnesium? How do I fix these deficiencies anyhow? If you find some time take a look, and let me know... otherwise take it eeeeasy.

Maybe a scrog would be good for killer clown? Hey Sampson I have my girls all tied up right now. Do you keep them tied up all the way to the end? And how do you make sure you're not about to snap them off? I constantly worry I'm gonna bend one too far.

SS420 You're in a good land, I just heard from a doc that Michigan has legalized MJ...Have not checked any internet sites yet. So it's just a hearsay at this point. I don't know if I am going try this again though I have 4 clones rootin for me, lol! I have thought of the Hydro and flood drain methods but stealth is even risky in my setting. Am I jealous? You bet, I guess some deserve more freedom than others in this nation I no longer know as it was. People will never stop finding ways to enjoy the bud life. Prohibition didn't work, so what makes these nitwits think they can control a lifestyle at the expense of the very people who enjoy or not the very same freedom. Stealing has become a political mandate. Well that's my rant outta da way! Dog without a bone causes this syndrome...
Still a great read, keep up the good info SS420, I at least can dream SOG...

This is but 1 of the four, Not great pics but at least you'll see why I think my yield will low....Oh and thanks for teaching us couple of guys how post the pics..:peace: Daves Not here man
i can only hope that they legalize it in my state.. i would be so much better off.. but oh well.. i do it for the love of the grow.. and the love of the smoke... to me.. the risk is worth it.. to know i do my little part in helping out those in need of medication makes it worth it all!!

so your clones look good and healthy.. if you have the light to flower right you could end up with 1/2 ounce single cola per plant.. or more even... or less to.. it just depends.. but there is a good chance you'll get a good harvest... not a HUGE one by any means.. but not as low as you think...

hey bro

checked things out... plants look good...

the reason they arent as far along as an hps is that t5's are near as strong and dont put off near as much light as the hps... this difference in light makes a difference in flower sizes and finish times...

switching the 2 - cool bulbs for 2 - warm bulbs will help some.. but not a huge difference... if you want larger flowers you will need to add more over all light to the grow...

i would wait until they are about 6 to 8 inches at least.... so if thats in 7 days then yea, next week sounds good.. it shouldnt take much longer than that anyways...

bongsmiliebut yeah dude, they've grown like 3 or 2 3/4 of an inch in 2 weeks, so in the next 2 an a half weeks or so it'll be time to flower:roll::mrgreen:, oh yeah, dude your dog looks evil, i had a pitt mixed with a doberman and he was crazy, he flipped out on us, shivering and shit looking at ya from the sides of his head, it was pretty bad, so we had to get rid of him, powerful fighter dog, i miss that little bastard:cry::eyesmoke:

instead of a 2 way ballast just get a digital ballast.. they will run either bulb... and then get a seperate mh and hps bulb... it will save life on the bulbs since your using 2 different ones completely... or if you want to be ultra efficient get an enhanced spectrum hps and just roll with it the entire grow... most hps grow bulbs are that way now.. they contain an enhanced blue spectrum that helps for vegging... so its a bulb and ballast the entire grow... also another advantage to this is you dont have to deal with the heat from the mh bulbs... mh bulbs get considerably warmer than hps bulbs.. so it will help keep temps cooler using just the hps...

personally i dont untie the ties i use to tie down the canopy until the end... after a few weeks tho you can if you want.. they should stay in place by then..

reason i leave mine is that the branches that have been tied may adjust themselves an inch or two upwards... just sort of half ass straightening out... and the way my lights are setup i have to raise and lower them in pairs... so keeping the plants heights were they are is more important for me than if you can raise and lower them individually... also as the buds grow they will grow upwards towards the light.. so if you untie and they move upwards, then grow towards the light (the actual bud.. not the stretching of the plant itself) , you can end up having buds grow into the light... this can always be adjusted by moving the lights some.. but once they are done stretching i get lazy and try to keep everything where they are at...

dont stress about breaking a cola either... it takes a lot to actually break them... if you go to remove anything you've tied just be careful... a great way to tie things to make it easy is.. well here are 2 ways...

one, if you have the hook ends off of clothes hangers. and tie them to string, and use the hook side to grab the plant and tie the string to whatever anchor your using, you can easily move the location of the tie, and also its nothing to remove...

two, if you take some plastic garbage bag ties (use plastic.. the paper ones from bread loafs will absorb moisture and thats not good...) and secure one end to the string, you can twist tie the branches instead of actually tieing them... this makes removing them as easy as untwisting the twist tie itself...

They're too stretchy and thin stalked for how big the buds are getting (which isn't huge) and they don't need the tie downs to stay down anymore. One bent over and hit the ground when I took it out of the closet (Photo>>). Thot it would break. It's 48 inches tall. Bad for my 400 watt I know. Noob mistake. So now I'm gonna kinda stake one or two now and the others if they need it later.

This guy on here told me this idea and I liked it for the short time I used it. It's simple and genius. Put a ruberband around your pots and take the two ends or a long piece of twine or what not and tuck them into it, with the looped end around the branch. I dunno if I explained that clearly. I just smoked 6 different kinds of amazing hash

THANKS DUDE!! Again lol. It's cool to get such thorough answers.

as long as the main stem didnt break horizontally you will be fine... if the breaks are vertical the plant will survive just fine... if it is horizontal it might not... i hope its ok tho! looks good...

dont feel bad about dropping your plant.. it sucks.. and its a rare mistake... if it makes you feel better i dropped my lights on my plants.. actually 3 times in the same 10 minute period.. long story.. but it sucked...

who ever suggested the rubber band idea had a good one.. there are a ton of ways to do it.. that seems its one of the easier ones so far..

Bump it, bump it good. Hey again. Well things here are progressing nicely (I guess). Two weeks into flower and four males have met their fate. The infanticide was a bummer. Is there anything to do with the males besides a stealthy trip to the dumpster? I'm hopeful for the rest. They grew so much though that they were getting burned. I did some topping because I didn't feel like trying to tie them down. How long does that big growth spurt last? They already damn near doubled in size. One plant is about four weeks older than the rest. It definately has several fluffy white buds going. So if I don't totally fuck things up there ought to be at least a couple bong hits below the Christmas tree. Should I be worried that I'm not seeing buds on the others yet? Don't the males develop earlier? Thanks.

i just throw my shit in my dumpster outside when i take out my trash... i know its not the best idea.. but its rare i throw out shit.. if i have a TON of stuff, like harvest, i just go to a local dumpster... make sure you have boxes and shit to throw away to make it look legit... or you can burn your stuff in a fire pit..

the stretching usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to get through.. sometimes longer.. sativas will stretch more and take longer to do so... i wouldnt be worried about not seeing any buds yet... it takes about 2 weeks for the plant to start producing a solid supply of flowering hormones... i would say within a week or so you should start seeing what you want...

they look good bro... how old are they?? i cant tell for sure but it looks like theres a bit of a def possibly starting on a couple of them... more than likely its a nitrogen def if anything.. just watch to see if they start to yellow to confirm.. if so it just means its time to start nuteing...
