Default Ventilation Question

I have a quick question. I am building a 2'x2'x5' grow box, enough for one or two plants. After I set up a carbon air filter and fan, do I need to route the air to the outdoors, or can it just be vented through the roof of the grow box, and into my room closet?

Depends on if you are planning on using an intake fan. what kinda light?

Im gonna be using a 400w HPS light, with a 4" carbon filter and fan. And I guess Ill use like a small 7" fan to draw air into the box. I was wondering if the filter neutralized the odor completely, so that the air coming out could just be released back into the apartment room, or would I have to run a duct tubing to a nearby window or something?

The carbon filter takes care of that shit if you do it right
