Hello, I'm a newbie......thought I'd give this growing a shot. Right now, I'm going outdoors, I don't have any other option at the moment.
I've lost many sprouts already this year, I've learned about aphids and two caterpillars gnawing on my plant (as I found 3 sprouts, ate up by aphids), I happen to have one growing right now about 7 inches tall, the seed is a commercial one, known as purple passion, a few were gave to me, ordered over the net. two germinated.
I'm using sevindust at the moment, until I get some neem oil, and miracle grow soil, miracle grow plant food with a hint of fish emulsion in it. The purple passion seems to be doing well.
This year is a trial run for me, with one plant that's supposed to be a decent strain of weed, I have faith she's going to be a little girl.
enough rambling (I eat lortabs, they do that to me), the question I want to ask, I'm going to do one more transplant with this plant into a larger container, almost needs it now.....but afterwards, I want to head off into the woods with it.
I've read that fishing line wrapped around trees at 3 feet and 8 inches will keep deer out, but what about rabbits and other pests? what about molding, since it won't be in a controlled room, where it can always be monitored? How often do I need to put the neem oil on it? Is there a better location than others to plant it into the ground, I'm considering my backyard. and a fertilizer question, since I am new at this.....what is a decent all stage fertilizer I can use? one that will suffice even in the flowering stage?
