Default how late until lst?

when's the latest i can wait until i start tying down my plant? the plant i have now is kinda tall (about 15 inches).

You can do it up to the point where the stems just wont bend, due to them being too fat.
Just be careful not to snap them.

He wants to know what the deadline is for starting LST.

The answer is you can do this anytime during the plant's life so long as you don't break the stem, so first week or so not recommended obviously. It's pretty cool how smart the plant is because after you tie the stem down, the top of that stem curves up to the light as much as possible within 24 hours. Be mindful of this when positioning the lights around the plant immediate after LST because I burned one of my tops because it grew into the light overnight.
