Hi there, I am new to growing and seeking some advice. Let me just say off the bat I am quite broke so if you guys could suggest the cheapest alternatives, that would be great. I have a a small closet 22.5 x 17 x 60. At the moment I only have a 15w bulb for my 3 plants, it is hung about 6 inches from them. I have been growing them in cut down arizona cans, and I just took soil from the garden downstairs at my apartment building. They are about a month and a half old. I had them outside up until a week or so ago. 2 of them are about 6 inches and the runt is about 4. I have been keeping the light on 18/6.

what I need advice with

1. What type of dirt should I use

2. what size pots should I transplant them to(considering space)

3.What type of nutrients should I use, and how do I feed them to the plants properly

4.What lights should I use for veg and flowering (considering space and price)

5.How can I control the smell(I live in an apartment and service people come in every once in a while for maintenance, and I can't have it smelling, as to avoid any suspicion)

6.How big should I let them grow before I begin to flower?

7.How do my plants look? Are they healthy? any advice would be much appreciated!

Pots, I'd at least 10",Dirt\Soil, Usually better to mix your own (perlite,vermicculite,peat moss) Stuff with really good drainage,But Organic is something I can't help you with.Fox Farm Nutes are good, I've found that starting them on a 10-10-10 cycle for the first few weeks,I dont think they make it anymore but they make 20-20-20 so you can mix it with half ingredients, then 20-20-20 until your ready to start flowering, Then a 10-53-10 mixture for the next couple weeks, then you would change to 0-53-0 and use that until 2 weeks prior to Harvest.For the first week you can use a mixture of ONE TEASPOON of Molasses mixed with 2 litre s/1/2 Gallon. It's not necessary but I'm on my 3rd grow and every time it made the nugs fall right over.It gives the plant Natural Sugars, For the last week your gonna flush with straight water , But about twice of what the pot can hold needs to come out of the drainage holes to get rid of the chemicals and molasses.Lights, You need more ,alot more, for 2 plants I used 4 42 watt Cfl3 26 watt Cfl And 80 watts of fluorescent tubes.For smells if it's in a closet with good ventilation just put a rug under the door.They stretch ALOT during flowering so it depends on you spot, If you can I'd paint the inside of that closet whit.Tinfoil is Bad.Use White Office paper if you have too.

Plants kinda look like they're stretching to me, move your light closer...

Hi sorry I took so long to update but the plants are looking pretty good, I have them under 2 i think 23 watt cfl. I took a pic of the lightbulb package it is in my album along with my entire grow from the start until today. I just killed the male, unfortunately it was the biggest one oh well... Anyway I have been watering them every 2 days or so, and every third water I use 20-20-20 all purpose fertilizer. How much more light do you think I will need? They are about 2 and a half months old now and started showing sex about 2 weeks ago. Should I just go buy an HPS and start flowering(and what wattage)? Should I put them into larger pots? they are in about 4 inches of soil right now. Also what would be a good way to get rid of the smell, because I cant cut up the closet to make an air system(and I'm still on a tight budget ) and they are really starting to reek up the place. Hope you guys can help me!
