Ok, well recently I noticed that instead of a seed sprouting into a plant, something else decided to grow on the soil. This is only one of the seeds I have starting, but this is the only place I found this weird problem.

They look like black trichomes, and they aren't sticky.

I've been keeping this little planter on a shelf near a window, and watered the soil every couple days, using a squirt bottle.

my guess is its fungus or mold.......

Each one of those little black dots/balls is it's own growth. You see it, but so far you thought it was just soil.

got to be some sort of fungus or mold. real strange tho guess it could be some weird bug or something dont look good tho

After I moved the planter outside, they seemed to start dying and turning brown.
