Default Offsetting the 12/12 schedule by 12 hours?
Noob question here

In an indoor growing environment, if your plants are currently receiving their light in the daytime, is there any way you can safely switch so that they receive their light in the night time instead?

If so, what would be the advised technique? Giving the plants 36 hours of light or 36 hours of darkness would get them onto the desired schedule, but would this stress the plants too much?

The reason this would be done is to keep temperatures lower.

Theres many ways to do this but IF your close to budding I wouldnt do it at all.
but just leave the light on untell you want to change it to 12/12 or turn the light off. really its not going to hurt it. me id give it some dark time. itll give your plant time to grow some.
peace

The plants in question have only been in 12/12 for 12 days.

What would be better, two consecutive cycles of 18 On/12 Off, two consecutive cycles of 12 on/18 Off, or one cycle of 36/12, one cycle of 12/36?

What would be safest?

Some people turn their lights off for 24 hours to incxourage their plants to jump into full flower. Their are mixed feelings on this subject.

If you must do it, do it soon. You will have the least chance of long term damage.

just leave the plants be in the dark, then change the timers or the time's that the lights are turned on. Its no big deal just do it soon.
