Hello everyone. I need some help. my plant has been getting yelllower at the bottom and slowly going up. one bottom leave fell of the other one is yellow in the picture. is it because i overwatered it? i might hav i'm watering it a cup once a day. Im LSTing for
scrog thats y its bent. my box is 28 inches tall, 27 inches wide and 14 inches deep. for now the lights are: flourecent, 2x15 watt cool white (2700), 1 11 watt warm light(6500), and 2 23 watt warm light
(6500). its in veg stage 24 hours on.is that enough lights? i plan to hav 6 23 warm light flourecent durning flower( is that good enuff?)its just one plant so 140 watt is good?
Also i havent given it any neuts. can i grow with no neuts till flowering? i dont wana buy 2 packs of neuts 1 for each stage... how bad will it be if i dont use any neuts for veg?
also how much worse are warm light flourecent then cool white for veg? is it like alot better to have cool white light or almost no difference??
help please any1?

Yo , get yourself some Daylight 6500k CFL's and use those for veg , you use the 2700k cfl soft whites for flowering , im not sure whats making the leafs yellow but i garentee switching to 6500k's will help alot! , i havent used any nutes at all and my plants are perfectly fine. i hope that helps

i thought u need 2700 clf for veg and 6500 for flower.. u sure?
you havent used nutes? then do u still get nice amount of bud?

yes im sure , ive asked the same question befor lol its 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower , trust me , and the buds werent bad but they deffinitly could have been alot better with nutes , it is a good idea to use nutes but if you dont care how much bud you get then it doesnt really matter if you use them or not.

i care.. a want a ton of bud so ill use nutes. what are the nutes in veg for tho? is it so the plant grows quicker and goes to flower? or it also affects the bud quantity if u use neuts in veg as opposed to not using nutes in veg?

in addition to replacing the 2700 tubes with the 6500s or full spectrum I would at least get prepared
to transplanting to a larger pot 1 to 3 gallons. at least use a good grade potting mix with additional
perilite.
also get something like a fish emulsion 5-1-1. it is inexpensive and easy to use. mix to 1/4 strength to
start.
i dont believe you will be sorry

If thats tin foil in there thats probably whats causing your leaves to turn yellow , tin foil has hot spots and will slowly kill the plant.

ill try to get fish but wat i intended to keep my plant in that pot for the rest of the grow. i dont kno how many gallons it is but over 1 atleast maby 2. do i mish the fish thing with water tho? or i just put i on tom of the soil or something? how does it work exacly? thank you
P.S. what exacly will the fish fertelizer do? do you know? and about the tin foil burning my leaves, the leaves are becoming yellow slowly from bottom and going up so i assume its some mineral deficency. second node leaf started yellowing recently

Nitrogen (N)
Nitrate - Ammonium is found in both inorganic and organic forms in the plant, and combines with carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and sometimes sulfur to form amino acids, amino enzymes, nucleic acids, chlorophyll, alkaloids, and purine bases. Nitrogen rates high as molecular weight proteins in plant tissue.
Plants need lots of N during vegging, but it's easy to overdo it. Added too much? Flush the soil with plain water. Soluble nitrogen (especially nitrate) is the form that's the most quickly available to the roots, while insoluble N (like urea) first needs to be broken down by microbes in the soil before the roots can absorb it. Avoid excessive ammonium nitrogen, which can interfere with other nutrients.
Too much N delays flowering. Plants should be allowed to become N-deficient late in flowering for best flavor.

Nitrogen Deficiencies:
Plants will exhibit lack of vigor, slow growth and will be weak and stunted. Quality and yield will be significantly reduced. Older leaves become yellow (chlorotic) from lack of chlorophyll. Deficient plants will exhibit uniform light green to yellow on older leaves, these leaves may die and drop. Leaf margins will not curled up noticeably. Chlorosis will eventually spread throughout the plant. Stems, petioles and lower leaf surfaces may turn purple.

Figure 9

As seen in figure 10 consumption of nitrogen (N) from the fan leaves during the final phase of flowing is 100% normal.

Figure 10

Nitrogen Toxicity:
Leaves are often dark green and in the early stages abundant with foliage. If excess is severe, leaves will dry and begin to fall off. Root system will remain under developed or deteriorate after time. Fruit and flower set will be inhibited or deformed.
With breakdown of vascular tissue restricting water uptake. Stress resistance is drastically diminished.

thats from the grow faq. i would say use ferts. either the fish emulsion or bat guano. thats what im using now. and after only 2 feeds its worked great.

temperature in the room itself is a little lower then avg room temperature and the box has 23x2 15x2 and 11x1 cfls so i assume temp isnt a problem, gona buy a thermomiter soon to b sure.ph of my water is about 7.2 tap water, i leave it out so some chlorine evaporates and lowers ph, but again i dont hav a device that measures it.the soil is all purpose pottin soil or something like that, and the fan is yet to b installed in there, but there are cracks and stuff.
i dont know about humidity, i feel bad now how i didnt take care about so many things:oops::oops:
You know how you're supposed to hav 1 hole on the bottom and 1 hole on top and hav a fan at the top hole blowing air out? i plan to hav that. my question is how is that possible, the light will get in thru those holes durning night time?
thanx for all the help creeptsteevy awsome info therebongsmilie
P.S. how often approximatly am i supposed to water my plant? i used to do it 1 cup a day, but i felt like it was too much so im doing 1 cup every 1.5 days and i plan on doing 1 cup every 2 days soon. any1 help?
