I have had the best luck with one gallon pots, I keep my plants short and sturdy.

I was at home Depot today and all they had were ceramic pots. can I be a cheap bastard and use 1 gallon milk jugs?

Once you cut the top off its only about a half gallon pot, eventually you would need to transplant. I get plastic one gallon containers from wal-mart for less than a dollar.

I live in new york and fore some reason we have not yet adapted wallmarts... we still have the commercials. we had one... but it died. But I figure I have a few weeks until I need a bigger pot so I'll wait till I got to NJ to get some.

I bought a ten pack of Purple Kush X Black Domina from Jack Willie seeds. I only germinated 4 because I was afraid I'd fuck it up but all 4 sprouted today so only time will tell... theres still plenty of time for me to screw up.
I bought 4 150w CFL's and a 40w sunlight florescent light. and am hoping to be able to get a HPS light soon.
Ever hear of the brand or strain? Any advise?

I've never bought any seeds, my ex's dad gives me seeds whenever I want, he's got a house full of plants, various strains. I'm only on my second grow, he gave me 10 AK47 seeds I planted 6 about a week ago, they are about four inches tall now. I'm using two 40w flores, and a 100w HPS on 18/6, constant airflow, starting nutes soon.

It's a hand-me-down security light i got free, but i saw it at home depot for $50, i just propped is sideways so the plants get the full blast of light. It seems to be doing well.
