Home depot has multi-purpose trays for 12 bucks,18 gallon tote for reservoir for 8-10 bucks, and ebb and flow kit another 10 bucks
Thats one way another is using 1 inch pvc a couple of T's elbows and 2 liter bottles cut in half.

Another way is buy a tote or 5 gallon bucket. With the lid that came with your tote or 5 gallon container cut it out the shape of your pot so it fits tightly and do a drip type setup with a hose coming up through the lid and place it in your pot,or place an airstone in your water make you pot hang lower in your container and do a simple DWC setup. If you need more detailed info let me know glad to help.

Go to Home Depot and buy a new five-gallon plastic paint bucket with the lid.

Drill a hole in the lid that will accommodate a 3" net pot. Use a 2 7/8" hole saw. If you use a 3" hole saw, the net pot will fall through the hole.

Go to the hydro store and buy:

One quart of GH Micro, and one quart of GH Bloom. Pick up some Hydroton to fill the pot. If you're growing from seed or cuttings, buy some 1" RockWool too.

Go to the aquarium department at WalMart and buy:

One, single outlet air pump. One pack of clear air lines. One 6" airstone.

Now, drill the hole in the lid of the paint bucket for the net pot. Drill a small hole in the side of the bucket near the top for the air line. Place the airstone in the bottom of the bucket and connect the airline to the airstone. Run the airline through the side of the bucket and connect it to the air pump.

For vegging, use 5ml of General Hydrophonics Micro (brown) per gallon of water and 10 ml of General Hydrophonics Bloom (red) per gallon of water. If you get any yellowing in the leaves, add 1/8 teaspoon of Epsom Salts per gallon of solution.

For flowering change your nutrient ratios to 8ml Micro and 16ml Bloom. Again, if yellowing appears, use the same amount of the Epsom Salts as before.

As the plant uses up the solution, add back plain water until you have replaced the origingal amount of solution, then remix a new batch and start over.

Fill the paint bucket with your solution, connect the pump, turn on the lights ... stand back and watch it grow. :)

Another good way to use a 5 gallon bucket is to buy mister tubing and a water pump. Connect the pump and spiral up the bucket, with the net pot description as he said above. You may want to get an airstone anyway, but this acts as aeroponics (primitive). Fast growth though!
