Default i got 20 grams of soil and (perlite
i need to know the TOP of the line ratio(perlite).. i'm seeing alot of 1:4, and 1:3
so i got 20 grams of soil i jsut weighed out, should i do 5 grams of perlite, or a 6.6 grams?? i need to know so i can weigh it out right now haha thx guys

Edit: i ment OZS , not grams
i put in 1.5 oz's of perlite and there is ALOT of perlite in their, i mean alot, idk how im gonna get 4 more zones.

I think you're thinking too deeply into this. You can do it with no perlite, 10% perlite or 1/2 your soil mass perlite and you can still grow a successful plant. What you want to do is fugure out an overall strategy that works for you and your room. FWIW, I used to use a 1/3 ratio for many years, until I decided to try and cut my growing expenses, Then I used just a handful of perlite in my mix, and for the last two years, I've seen little or no difference in my harvests. I've probably spent $1000 on perlite in the last ten years.....
