I wanted to know if you guys think this air conditioning unit will bring down the temp in my closet 10 F degrees ? The space is 5 feet wide x 7 feet high x 2 feet deep.

I would hope so, 10 degrees should be nothing for an AC. One thing about these new AC units, make sure it works. I tried out two different units for my house and returned both, they really didn't work like an AC unit. My friend has one and it's great. I would really ask around about this before spending money on it. I spent about 5oo to 600 for my units and they sucked.

Damn!! The unit that I just posted is $200 and it is an air conditioner, not an air cooler. I wanted to spend about 300 bucks at the most.

Yeah they are still new products, some are good and some aren't. I think some companies put the crap out before it's ready, just to get in the market. Ask more people on here though somebody will know about this stuff. Or go to Home Depot and ask them about their units, they can be pretty helpful if you talk to the right person. I'm just telling you that we gave up on it and put in window units. And like I said my friends kicks arse but I think he drooped mare than a grand on it. Have you tried an exhaust fan, is that possible? I use a six inch duct fan and it works great.

I looked at some reviews of the item and it's pretty much 50-50 good/bad.

I have an exhaust fan it the temps range in the low 90's. I need to get it 10-15 degrees cooler.

I would do the math on it... figure i think the specific heat of air is .27 or .24 btu/lbm *F so 1000 btu can reduce air accordingly depending on hwo much is in there. But dont forget to figure how much your lights put in

Would an AC unit in the grow room decrease the Humidity level to less than 40%?

It can and fast I had a portable ac unit and my RH dropped below 40 quickly. My temps run near 90 lights on and during the day. The spike in electricity convinced me to shut the ac down and get more fans

Yea, with all the juice running to your lights and ACs.. you'll definately notice a spike in your utility bill.. I use fans myself.. Then again, the Room I use is always damp with no lack of moisture.. And I think the fans do an excellent job of circulating air and keeping the temperature at a steady 75-80 degrees..

But in reguards to the origianl post, that air conditioner should definately do what you need it to do given the confined space your working out of.. Just be careful and check on it a while, to make sure the room temperature doesnt drop down belowe good growing conditions.. And if you do decide to buy that AC, make sure to give a review on it.. I'm kinda interested in one that size myself..
