Default First time hobby grower with bagseed (need tips).
Hey guys, ive recently gotten a few seeds from a friend and he told me to try and start growing.. so i did since i have nothing else better to do why not grow some WEED!! The seeds i got were straight up from an oz of weed bought off a dealer. My plant is now starting the 2nd week of Veg and looks to be an indica, the leaves are thick and green sign to me that its healthy, just hoping for a girl , im gonna be doing 1 plant at a time i know thats wasting time but hey IM the one growing not you . Heres my set up

- Big cardboard box covered with tin foil (dull side out) set inside a 2x3ft closet
- 1 42w Daylight CFL for veg and 2 42w red (orange?) spectrum for flowering
- Using a 7.5 x 9 inch pot with potting soil

My big concerns are when i should be using nutrients in veg and flowering stages, how many days of veg and how many days of flowering, also should i use 24hr light cycle for veg and then switch to 12/12 for flowering or go from 24/0, 20/4, 18/6 and so on all the way to 12/12?

Im a first time grower, so any tips/advice on growing is greatly appreciated, i will keep this thread updated when i can and hopefully have some pics. Thanks and happy toking to all

get some alaska fish ferts and dilute to a teaspoon per gallon and feed at about 6- inches...really dont need to feed until they get about 3 sets of leaves just use florescent lights at about 6 inches above them with a small fan blowing in yhe area and you will have a good start

U can start adding nutes..1/4 strength work your way up..weaker will be safer and less headaches than mixed stronger and results with burning,18/6 for veg.12/12 for flowering..keep us posted.

You will definitely need to repot it. The rule of thumb I have seen from a lot of people is you need at least one gallon of soil for each foot of growth.

Most people flower in 3 gallon pots, 5 gallon buckets, etc...

If its a plastic pot you can try cutting it with scissors but it doesent look like it from looking at your pictures. Flip the plant over and place your hands at the base and keep tapping the bottom until the shit slides out.
