My goal is to have a perpetual system that I can harvest every other week, using CFL's only.

I am growing in soil with organic nutes. All of my knowledge has come from reading forums and watching Youtube. I have never grown anything before reading a Rollitup thread, a few months ago. Since I was a little kid in grade school at least. I am leaning towards Drbudgreengenes methods as of now. He is not a member here, but I've read a lot of interesting things from him the last few months. He uses only flourescent lighting and is getting up to 21 grams per cutting in 20 oz. bottles. I will be aiming for 5-7 gpc for my first go around.

I had originally set a budget of $180, but thanks to some luck in a poker game, it was increased to about $250 as of last week. I have pretty much everything I need now except a scrubber, and something to clone in. I'm sure I'll come up with more things down the road. I will be building the scrubber before things go into flower, using some pencil cups and a dress sock. I am still looking for ideas on a cloning chamber though. So if you have any ideas, let me know. I am looking to be under $10 when I am done with it though, so please keep that in mind. Also it will need to fit in a 10in. x 10in. x 10in. space.

I am growing Super Lemon Haze (Green House Seeds feminized), Kali Dream (Kali Mist x Dreamweaver by MOD), Connie Chung (DNA), Flashback(Homegrown Fantasies), Sensi Star (Paradise), Killing Kush (Sannies Seeds), and some tomatoes. All except the Killing Kush (still in mail) have been started. I started a Red Dragon from seed on the 1st, which has since died from overwatering. My first newbie mistake. So everything I currently have, started after 4-3-09. I am looking into crossing these at some point in the future, and will be keeping bonsai style mums and dads in cups forever.

My seedlings and clones will be kept in separate 1ft x 1ft x 1ft space under 27watt 5000k CFL's. I will get the exact measurements on the flowering chamber when the time comes. It's close to 3ft x 1.5ft x 2.5ft. This space will be divided into 2 chambers though.(veg. & flower)

I will be posting pics along the way. Please comment, I am interested in what everybody has to say, even if you think it's pointless. I am hoping people will read this in the future and believe every point of view is helpful. All I ask is that you are respectful, otherwise you can hate or appreciate.

Hey.. just a tip.. if you're doing the journal thing, post in Grow Journals, not Newb Forum. For whatever it's worth, Drbudgreengenes was 100% the motivator behind my growing. Take a look in my grow journal (see my sig).. I actually tried something in my grow that he clamied to have done in his perpetual thread: clone a fresher nug. I failed, but I got roots!

Anyways, good to see you're giving it a shot. The honies look really nice. Read my journal, man.. I think you'll be inspired. I'm running 2 computer case perpetual w/ 6 plastic cups per box. I'm thinking I can get 15+ g per cup. I've got 2 strains - Top44 / Citral - and a bagseed (NYC Diesel or Sour Diesel) for now, but I just placed a major seed order. Passion #1, Twilight, some autos for outdoors and a boatload of freebies. The idea for me is to appease my desire for variety by running 1 strain per cup in each box. 1 box veg., 1 box flower, all CFL. That way, as soon as one finishes, I'll have room to start its pre-trained clone and a clone ready to be veg'd. I'm calling it "perpetual mothering". And.. it's ALL bonsai.

Anyways, great start. Please post in Journals and I'll sub. Generally, Newbie Forum is for issues and quick questions.

I'd just start right over. I guess you can move threads by talking to an admin, but I've never done it.
