ive started my first grow March 19th 2009







ok so... at first i started my bag seeds in my cubboard. Few days after they wer in soil and i got fans in there it started to smell sumthing (not weed smell)

thought i might be the smell of earth so i moved the bag of earth outside in my shead, got an ona block, got lil airwick things that smell good and that fixxed the smell a bit.

after i moved em to my PC grow case and it just has gotten worse, i dont want to get busted cause of the smell... (the pc didnt stink when i started)

it doesnt even smell weed yet, just stinks and i dunno whats the smell, maybe the soil in my pots stink? any ideals and/or solutions? (i cant open the patio door in my room yet cause its still cold outside, trying to keep PC grow case at about 74-84F)

Maybe it's the plastic pots getting too hot and giving off noxious odors. I'm not sure. It's not some dirty socks under your bed that haven't been washed in months?

the plastic pots are usually cool when i touch em, doubt they would be the prob, had a pot in less heated area and it still smelled like that, but ill check more into that, maybe ask guy at hydro shop that sold em to me.

socks....lol....they dont stink that bad, its not the problem

my fert is GROW nutri+ (mix bottle A+B in water) but there again...stink was there in my other grow area when i was not using ferts yet

Not all weed smells great in veg and flower. they have strains like dogshit and catpiss. They smell like... Until they are cured. What are you growing again

One of your pics show a aerosol can propping up one of your pots. If it gets hot enough in there that can might gas off a little and cause the odor. or pop. I would move that thing out of there.

i dont smell it since im always in it, but family members hav said its smell sumthing bad but they cant figure out what exactly, ima post if they say a specific smell

i thought about the areosol can also...but it never gets over 88F in there and the can goes up to 100+ be4 getting dangerous, thx for warning, just a temporary support till plants get higher, those pots were getting 2 heavy for the rack. The smell was also there be4 i used the aerosol can

im more n more starting to think its just the soil taht stinks (but when i get near it i dont smell anything paticuliar), i stopped powering 2/4 or my fans, maybe less ventilation will make it stink less and make my ona block work more......

Carbon filter, make one for £20 and attach it to your exhaust fans, you should see a difference in the odour, otherwise it isnt the pc that's giving off the bad smell

its prob. jus the smell of plants growing or if you water to much your soil will give off a smell
