Would it be possible to start plants indoors during the shorter days and then when the plants indoors become the desired size, move them outdoors to finish off? (This would take place in a year round warm place)

yes thats what people do in some parts of austrailia. i heard one guy putting a sativa out at 5ft and in 14 weeks it was 12ft. it was a haze strain he got a couple of pounds of one plant.(manicured BUD) pity we don't live in oz.

yeah i think u could do it wherever you want if you keep on top of your game. I think it works best to do an off season outdoor grow by having the plants in pots and taking them somewhere dark for 12 hours of dark everyday to ensure flowering.look what this guy did here he started them indoors for a while and finished flowering the last 30 days outside and thats in april!
