1st DWC Grow w/ CFL, any advice?
10 Gal. res, using dyna-gro liquid grow @ 300ppm. 4 6500k 23w CFL and 2 2700k 23w CFL. Do you think this is enough to get me to harvest? Going to use FF Big Bloom at flower...

still a little young for nutes at this point. u want to start feeding them when the cotyledons food storage gets used up, i.e they turn yellow. yes you can get to harvest with those lights but the real question is what will your harvest be with that lighting.

about a week in after the transplant to the dwc. they've been on a 300ppm solution since then. didnt see any sign of burn so the res was changed today with a solution @ 425ppm. how often do you think the solution should be changed out? also plan to Scrog...would an oz or more be ideal?

those ppms are too high. I suggest you change to plain h20 for a week. there is plenty of food in the cotyledons. every article I have ever read confirms that nuting before 2-3 weeks will lead to issues. nute burn is the end result after missing the warning signs of over fert, which include little to zero growth, distorted growth, excessive leaf curl, bright yellow viens, etc.
not saying they are overfert now but they sure will be in a few days.
do these plants have sufficient root length for getting into the DWC res? if so, than I would suggest to stop watering from the top. having wet rockwool in real DWC is problem causing. when you feel the root length is sufficient to life, than stop from the top
all my 2 cents

I have to agree on this one. But if you must nute your plants for some Odd reason, then fill your resevour up will either distilled or RO water (ppm 0-50) and then add some nutes, but don't exceede a ppm of 250 for the first 2-3 weeks. This will ensure that the only thing on the PPM meter is the Nutrients you added. Not some chemicle the water company uses to take the smell of clorine out of you water or to sanitize it for drinking.
I only grow Tomatos. Big Ripe and Resinous tomatos. I'm just a fictional pot grower.
