Here is my second attempt at growing. My first attempt did not go so well. I'm not sure if it was the superthrive, but I decided to not use it this time. I'm growing a Thai Super skunk Freebie that I received from the tude. I'm using a bubbleponics system with a 5 inch air disk at the bottom. I'm also only growing one plant this time. If I manage to not kill it, then I may try for 2 next time. Since my plant is only at the seeding stage, I have not bothered to hook up the resevoir. I figure it is not taking in enough water to justify, especially if I'm changing the res every 7 days. I'm using (4) 26 watt 6500K CFL bulbs. After another week or two, I'll turn on the 250w MH and start adding nutes. Right now, I'm just using Distilled water, Ph balanced to 5.5 - 6.0. I plan on using the GH Flora series once I start. Here are the current pics. Any advice is always appreciated.

Here is an update, finally. My apologies for taking so long. I'll start with changes to the buckets. The reservoir has been hooked up and both buckets now have foil tape around them to help with res temps, and it does make a huge difference (- 4 deg). I had concerns with how to change out the res once the screen was put into place, so i added a T connector between the plant and the main res with a ball valve that has a hose barb screwed in. hook it up my pump and it works like charm.

Holy SHEEEEAAAAAT!!!!! This thing is GROWING.
Switched to the 250w MH after 1 week under the CFL's. I then went to GH's website and used their nute calcualtor as a reference so I started out with (what I thought) was 1/4 nutes 10 days after sprouting. I noticed a little nute burn the next day, so I went and got a ppm tester and noticed that the ppm was around 450. I then drained 1 gal and replaced it with distilled water and that worked out pretty good. the next week/res change, I just subtracted 1/3 from GH's recommended and no problems. I'm now running full strength and have also started to notice what I believe to be a mag deficiency. I put some epsom salt in yesterday and the rust color seems to be fading. going tomorrow to get some cal-mag to get that taken care of. I also added some mini hooks which sticky tape to the lid, then I used a coat hanger to make hooks to LST the plant. My plan is to start flowering on Monday, after the next res change, which is Sunday. Oh, and it is starting to SMELL, so I had to engineer a CO2 filter housing out of a plastic coffee can. Thanks to RandyRockets metal coffee can design for the inspiration.
