OK here's the situation: I only have 6 seeds, I put them all in rockwool cubes to germ and began the standard waiting game. On day 2 one popped, but it didn't really grow the way it should. I kept waiting 4 more days and yesterday I realized that I had forgotten to set the PH of the water. I checked it and it was about 8. I took the appropriate steps to get it back down to 5.5 and my question is this; did letting them be in the high PH water fuck them up or will they be ok now that I have fixed it?

i havent got a clue! it might have fucked up the one that germed, bt it shouldnt have fucked up the ones that didnt. thats prob the reason they didnt germ.

What are your temps in the room? Did you pre germ? Rockwool can be tough for germing seeds, they like to heave out of the substrate. How often did you water the cubes? They can get really soggy and wet.
Did you soak them in 5.5 ph solution for 24 hrs prior to germing? If not, the glue in the rockwool is very basis and can negatively affect things. Adding basic water to it also will not help you out. You really shodn't need to water the cube miuch at all. If you touch it and it's a little moist, then the inside is definately wet enough.

room temp stays in the mid-upper 70s. I did not soak the cubes prior to usng them, nor did i pre germ the seeds. I have never germed using rockwool before so the water regimen wasnt steady. I started with pretty frequent watering and then turned the timer back as needed to make sure the cubes were getting dried out before the water turned on again. I found some new seeds so I think i am gonna just trash these and try again.
