I just received my seeds today. This is my first set of ordering seeds ever.

I will not be ready to plant any of the seeds and start the germination process for another 1 to 3 days. I have seen how to store seeds long term, but how do I store about 6 seeds for a couple of days (leave them in the pack and put them any where, put them in the refrigerator, freezer, dark and cool place, etc.)?

1-3 days....youll be fine. Just put them in a drawer or somplace for safekeeping. And dont let them get wet. Your seeds will be ok.

I am a little bit excited and want to kind of baby them, so they will turn out as well as possible for a bew grower.

It is bad karma to be TOO overprotective, use lotsa common sense, read lots, and let them do their thing. Don't worry too much, this is plant psychology 101, they grow wild , they like being left alone at times. GOod Luck!
