Hello RIU Community,
First, I would like to know what everyone's perfect number is for their temperature. I'm talking temperatures for your clones, veg, flower, and even the drying stage. I also would love for anyone who could explain what CO2 does for temperatures. I have read using C02 in your room you can increase your temperature up to 90 F. Why is this? Is that true? Can you keep your plants at a lower temperature using CO2 or does it have to be higher (90 F)? Second, I was interested in venting my veg room directly out of the house with no carbon filter or odor control device. Is this a problem? Do veg plants smell as pungent as flowering plants? Do veg plants smell at all? Thank you all very much. |

thats alot of shit there.
Clone temp in the mid 80's. ( warmer means more root growth ) veg is low 80 to mid 70 flower temp mid 70 and 40 to 50 % humidity so drop the temp gradualy. Let it concentrate on roots while in veg, it will grow plenty of height in flower The co2 temp question... With added co2 the plant is able to consume more. More nutrients and more light. The heat becomes a non factor, the only thing you gotta look for is mold with the temps that high. And deffinately check for yeast infections if your using yeast for the co2. They are girls remember |

Haha! Thanks a lot for the quick response CannabisCrusader. You seem very knowledgible and thank you for the very thorough answer. Very cool name by the way. But I did ask a lot of questiins in my previous post so I don't know if you missed this question or I just did not understand it in your answer but... If using CO2, is a higher temperature required to get better results? Or is it just a matter of the plants CAN handle higher temperatures with CO2.
One again thanks a lot. |

No, you want to bring the temp back DOWN. Dont let the Co2 control your temp, thats your job.

yeah what he said. U still want to keep your enviornment at optimal temps, although with the added co2 increaces in temp wont stop growth. When temp is at its best the little pores on the underside of the leaf are open at their max sucking in the co2. When temps are too hot, the pores contract to prevent transpiration... but with the added co2 it is in a higher concentration so the small size of the contracted pores is offset.
my veg plants smell more sometimes than my flowering plants, think i got some kind of indoor strain from a baseed that dont smell that much while flowering. Just do a diy carbon filter with 2 walmart pencil holders some activated carbon from the fish isle and one womens stocking. The BEST DIY EZ walmart carbon filter for MICRO grows Zen style. one thing to add i drilled small holes in the bottom of the pencil holders, this greatly improved the air flow. Ton of holes bout 1/8 in in diameter |

No. That would actually be an 'indoor' thing. U can't controll outdoor temps, all u can do is 'mimic' them. In an indoor setup, a perfect world would be 76 degrees, during the 'day', and 61-66 degrees at 'night' Outdoors, u just kinda gotta go with it ya know? Aint shit u can do about the wheather...

Hey,
Thanks a lot everyone. Sounds like a good general consensus of around mid 70's. So thank you all. CannbisCrusade, dude. Do you have some kind of horticulture degree cause damn man. That's awesome!! But thanks for your odor control information but would love to hear more from others and their experiences. The question is, "Can I vent my veg plants directly outside without it smelling too strong? Do veg plants smell as pungent as flowering plants? Do they smell at all?" Once again thanks CamnabisCrusader and everyone else for your time. I would still love to hear more. |
