so i put three male branches into plastic cups and in water - like videoman's thing - and i keep checking them and a bunch of balls have fallen off and it looks like a few have popped but there is NO pollen on the bottom of the cup (the top is even sealed with clear paper so nothing could have escaped through the top) this is really wierd and im getting scared that maybe the poolen went out through the bottom the cup and got 2 my plants!!!

what are you doing? i have not heard of this technique. i wait until the pods open and the bananas are hanging. then i just clip the banana before the flower opens. clip them over the opening of a small jar and they drop right in. they usually burst when they hit the bottom. now you have all the pollen in a small jar.
