Ok guys I got my HomeBox S from UPS today and I am now just waiting for some info before I buy my lighting system. Here the two options I was thinking about. Please, any advise would be great, especially from those that have used or use the HomeBox S. Oh and is the digital ballast included in the 2nd and 3rd choices a vast improvement over the regular ballast in my first choice?

This was my first consideration since it includes both bulbs, only it is not a digital ballast.

My second choice doesn't include the MH bulb but I am going to get one anyway, this setup has a digital ballast.

digital is a lot quieter and more effecient. I would go with the 400w digi hps item 180196841274 and a 400w MH. however I do not know about those switchable ballasts. I would just get seperate ones for MH and HPS and you'll be happier in the long run. You could get the hps and use the same hood, then just get a new mh bulb and ballast. Just keep the lights high for the first few days on your seedlings. (if you're not using clones)Good luck.

Thanks for the info but I have decided to go with a much more reliable and CoolStar Ballast.
