Ok, so I'm a first time grower and have a few questions.

(1) If you cut off the top of the plant when it gets to a certain height does it stop growing taller but be more potent?

(2) when's the earliest you can start flowering?

(3) How can you tell the strain of a plant?

(4) I've been confused about trimming a plant. is it necessary or just preferable, and how is it done right?

1.) It'll continue to grow taller but with more tops
2.) Upon maturity - fanleaves with 5 or more blades
3.) You have to know the strain of it's mother if cloned, or strain of mother + strain of pollinating male

thanks for the help, but i meant how could you tell what strain it is if someone just gave you the seeds and you had no idea? is there anyway?
