ok i'm 3 weeks into my grow just had my plants last week on 1/4 strengh nutes when do i start inceasing strength ?

what nutes? dirt or water?

on what medium do you grow, rockwool, soil or cocoo??? on soil you don't nute till week 4-5 normally since you will burn the plant then too easily. and for hydro you too strong too in week 3 i would say...

so what are you up to?

week for 4 or 5 ? i'm gorwing on soil using bloom nutes surely my plant will be ready for putting into flowering in wk 5 ish ?

if you not going for SOG type growing: NOT WAY!

most indica and indica dominated strains take about 7 to 9 weeks to mature, so lets say 8 weeks till you can start to think about putting it under 12/12 on great sign that it is ready is that the notches of the plant start to interchange in level. i would never flower a premature plant, it isn't worth the effort really.

many thanks i have allready started nutin plants seem to be ok should i stop ? so when do i increase nutes then? say if like u said i should strart at week 4/5

you need to switch nutes. bloom ferts in veg produces more males.

miracle gro 24-8-16 works great for veg. use according to label.

also, the plant will reach maturity between weeks 4-12, usually closer to six. you can force flower before that point in time.

if flowering with cfl's, i recomend you flower at less than eight nodes, so as to light them better, cfl's don't have good penetration. flowering at week 5 is no prob, but, if the plants are not mature, they won't flower right away.

my mistake im using grow nutes will put some pics up soon also what are nodes ? using a 250w metal halide at the mo

nodes are the locations where the leaves leaf the stem go wiki and look it up bro

250W MH isn't bad, distance in such a manner that you place your hand on top of the plants tip, if you can take the heat for several minutes without pain the distance is perfect (don't sue me if you burn yourself ;P)
