Flushing...

hello i needed help on flushing a 5 gallon pot of soil how much water should i use AND what should the water im flushing with have a PH of?

3x the capacity of the pot = 15 gallons

whats the purpose of the flush?if you're flushing to eliminate salt buildup from nutes or to correct a problem with the plant no i'm not "fucken joking" - 3x the pot capacity is the proper procedure.

im flushing cause its last week of my plants life and im gonna harvest it soon and i wanna flush out nutes and let soil dry out

flushing before harvest just means you stop watering with nutes and use water only for a few weeks to clean out the chemicals.

well i waterd with molasses yesterday

ph should be the same as it has been as long as you don't have any problems. the neccessity of flushing preharvest is a controversial topic. there are some very experienced growers here that say if your buds are dried and cured properly there is no need to flush.

moalsess is fine. most guys use molasess to improve the taste of the buds right up until harvest.

so i dont need to worry about flushing ? and also should i let soil dry out before i chop it to have it dry quicker?

well like i said you should water for 1 - 2 weeks with just water and molasses. how long have you been flowering? got any pics? how close to harvest are you? have you looked at the trichs? and you're theory is correct you don't want to water just before you harvest because the plant will have alot of extra water weight to shed during drying.

wish i had a camera but its almost the end of week 10 and trichs still look milky to me hopefully some will be amber it taste so sweet too like fruit loops almost haha 4 foot tall one plant
