i dunno man - sounds bad.
and DUUDE y'd u copy my sig???
alright so I just got back and when I was inspecting all the colas, behind one of them there was some bud that looked kinda brown, and the leaves surrounding the bud were dead, So I touched it, and it just fell off, the whole top part of one of the smaller colas... I have no idea what this is, Please someone help, its 3 weeks from harvest. Also on the purple widow, there was a lower leaf, that had white stuff on it, and it was curled up, when I opened it, the whole inside was filled with white... kind of cotton looking substance, I instantly got it off the plant and away, and the bud that fell off I got away from the plant. I have no idea what this is, and im freaking out. You can look at my grow journal for pictures. Also the white widow, is growing these balls on the nodes, not like males though, its just one ball on them, with a hair coming out, you can see it on my grow journal, first picture, of purple bud, scroll all the way to the right, and you will see it. Please guys someone help. Im going to go look threw FAQS and research what this is, if anyone knows help me out![]()

let it finish. ripping early wont save it it will kill it.
ive seen the dry bud tips on 3 plants of my mates and on mine, just rip the dry bit off and smoke it.
not sure what the cause is, but on every plant ive seen with the dry bits ive seen them little green caterpillars too. you got any of them on yours? they hide deep in the buds and are kinda hard to see unless you really look for them. theyre about 1/4"-1" long.
i asked about this last year but got no answers.
the white stuff could be from spiders or caterpillars.
need a better pic of the balls, looks a bit wierd in that pic though
Paddy man good call. I went out there this morning, and cut the bud that looked rotted, right after I cut it, I saw a little worm type thing disappear into the remaining bud. I was like.. son a ...... So I cut the rest and got the little bugger. Turns out he was my problem, eating my bud from inside out. I only lost a tiny bit of bud, So im not to mad. But I will try and get a better picture of the ball, but yeh it is very weird, they dont appear to be pollen sacks, and none have opened. Also I have this white cotton type substance on my stem, and on some leafs. I spotted a small white bug crawling, and Im thinking he was making this, I grabed him and killed him. Anyone know what this is? Everything appears to be good now, Having trouble looking at the tricomes threw my scope, so hard to tell when to harvest, should be soon though. Thanks for the help paddy, even though I didnt read yours till after I got him, but you still were right. Do those worms, or capapillers usually come by themselves or do they come in multiples? did they lay any eggs on your mates plants? thanks man

You might want to examine it more closely, where there is one there is usually more. Not sure what you can do to correct the problem but i'm pretty certain your gonna find more.
And from what i have read on plants it sounds like mites, at least the cotton bit does.

Quoth the Raven,"Toke some more".
Im pretty sure its just one, and mites make a web, not a white cotton substance. Im positive its not mites... perhaps a fungus, but not mites. Thanks though

The only other thing i can think of that makes a cottony substance is mealie bugs, not sure if that effects marijuana plants though. Do a google search on mealie bugs and check the pics to see if it is. Hope this helps.

Maybe those are it, im not sure... I just got back and there was a white weird looking bug, was really small, and had a beaver like tail... but very small, I went to slowly pinch it, and it jumped 10 yards away into the brush. Didnt exepct it to be able to do that, but it was on one of my stems, not sure what he was doing. Wish I would have got caught him to take some pictures... damn, well everything appears to be good for now, I may have to get some pesticides or something, if things get worse : (

My life is like a blind discus thrower,
I'll never set any records,
But I'll sure keep the crowd on it's feet...
