Hey I have one bagseed plant growing right now in my yard, I gave him som very very diluted nutes about 5 days ago. Miracle grow all purpose, its a 24-8-16. It says 1 TBS per gallon, I put less then 1/2tbs. The leaves however are getting kind of pale, not sure if its a salt buildup in the soil however. The grass all around the plant are sooo green, thats why I planted it there ( accidently, but shhh I dont want to tell her ). Im not sure at this point, whether I should give it some more nitrogen, or just use water from now on. The plant is very close to a swamp, so I dont water it very much. Could this be problem? I could go take a picture if you guys really want it, but I dont really want to : ( Thanks for any help

Are they getting enough light? Is the soil able to dry out a little at all to allow for air flow through the soil? or is the swamp constantly providing water? If its constantly wet you might want to mix some perlite or vermiculite into the swampy medium to provide a better rooting system. If you want to add just straight up nitrogen look for blood meal, its a 15-0-0 mixture, all organic, but make sure its not fish blood meal to high in mg and copper,portine blood meal by miracle grow is good. it doesnt seem like you overfed with only 1/2 a tbs, although too much N changes the osmotic balance between plant and soil so instead of water drawn to the plant it is drawn away from it, providing dehydration, the leaves would feel limp even if well watered and could soon die, check the leaves and make sure the tips arent changing colors or dieing, the colors would include brown, gold-yellow, if so discard the top inches of soil and leech the pots with water to flush out to much N. Again you need to check the soil maybe with a ph meter.

They are in the ground... not in pots or anything, just growing. And yes they may not be getting enough oxygen, because I think the soil may be constantly moist. They are about 15-20ft away from the swamp, and about 6 inches higher then in. Should I just transplant asap?

it looks like it could use a little nitrogen. i don't think it would hurt. maybe start with 1/2 strength.

its ironic your telling me to get the weeds away from my weed plant lol. Nah just kiddin, I like them there becasue soil is very wet, and they help dry it out for my plant. I am going to transplant it tomorow anyways, to obvious were it is right now.
