Hi. I was wondering is it possible to use a battery for a lamp. its 1 lamp and its gone be fluorescent lamp 23 watt 1600 lumens and i think its 120 volt. I wna hide my grow box but if theres a wire from the socket going somewhere i might get caught. im using that lamp for 1 plant and might change it when and if i get to flowering stage. if its not possible tell me of some ways i can replace the battery with something else like i dont kno something that doesnt go into the socket and is possible to obtain for a teenager. thanks

Wait till u have ur own place cause a cord is not what u need to worry about its the smell.

even tho i appriciate the help and suggestions that u give me, please answer the question i asked, lemme worry about evrething else like smell and other stuff. right now i am only worrieng about if my grow space is limited to being near a socket or no. thx

A single 23w CFL won't even grow enough bud to be worth your trouble/risk.

well pretty much I'm not doubting you. just the equipment you need is expensive unless you can find a R.V. salvage yard and tell them you want to power a computer off a battery for a science fair. and get the parts you need, a R.V. has inverters and stuff like that.

yes you can run it off of a car battery.. but car batteries are dc power and your light is ac power which means the only way it would work is if you buy a dc converter... thats not nerely enough light though bro...probably could be done but wouldnt be worth the time because alls you gonna get is maybe...maybe a 1/4 oz......good luck either way...

whoah.. if thats the only way then obviosly my grow space is limited to being near a socket..i was just thinking take some random wire attack it to a battery and attach the other end of it to the lamp(in proper places) so its like theres a power source it shud work.
