Grow Box, HELP!

I'm trying to get some ideas together for building a grow box...any ideas? i'm hoping for some links that possibly have designs or models that i could replicate. I'm looking for something smaller, and self contained, that could fit in a closet, maybe only have 3 or 4 plants max in it, discretion is going to be key as well. If anyone happens to have any ideas, i would greatly appreciate any assistance, even if it's just pictures of someone else's that i could take a look at. Thanks.

i dont kno of any sites but i built a box out of a box and its all decked out with everything i need for my lil girl ill post sum pics in just a lil bit i got take sum pix but ill show u wat i did and explain the details to u good luck in ur search, try Nodrama hes got a produce box that he bought and i think hes got a link to a site u could look at sum boxes

check out the first couple pages of my journal. It doesnt have like specs or anything like that, but ill try to hook u up with some right here..

Ok, what i did was, in my closet there is a top shelf, and then the bottom part of the closet. For your grow, this will be perfect for you.

I took a large cardboard box, and cut off two sides of it and pulled them apart so there was just one large flat wall of cardboard. After lining it with tinfoil (youll wana use MYLAR if you can afford to, but if not go with the foil), i slid it up onto the shelf. with a shitload of duct tape, i used the cardboard wall to enclose the shelf, and create a self contained growbox out of the entire upper half of the closet. After the wall is completely duct taped, your gonna wanna take an exacto knife, and cut out two decent sized flaps - this will be your door, that you pull the plants in and out of every day for watering or checking on them, so make sure theyre big enough to fit a 3 gallon pot with a 1 1/2 foot plant in it through the flaps.

Make sure you dont cut the flaps off, because these will also act as a door, so you can close the box and keep everything inside(light, smell, ect.) , Once you have that taken care of, take a black heavy duty trashbag, and cut it apart, to where the entire bag is one flat piece of plastic. Take some more duct tape, and tape the bag over the entire outter area of your growbox. This will make sure everything is lightproof, that way if someone is in your room that you dont want growing, they wont be able to see lil beams of light shining through your shit wondering what it is.

Once the bag is covering the cardboard, cut holes in the bag corresponding to the doors, and any other holes you cut in the box, wether it be for ventilation, or whatever you want. N then, go to walmart, n buy some velcro strips. USe these for the plastic, to bond it to the cardboard. These can also be used if you want to cut a hole in the cardboard completely, and leave the plastic, so you can close the box up at night, but still have a little bit of air circulating through the box, because the plastic flap wont have anything behind it, and you can close it half-assed.

As for scent, you wont need that for a little while, so if you need any help with that, message me n ill hook u up with a link or two for ways to prevent smell from getting out.

there u go thats wat ive got ive upgraded the reflective material since these pics tho and they look alot better

It was not an upgrade putting aluminum foil up. It will cause burn spots.

I prefer using PVC. For your closet you could use 1/2". Buy it in sections of 10' for a couple of bucks each. You can drill holes it for hooks to hang lights, make sections, etc. The cardboard box looks like a fire hazard to me. Just line the outside of the PVC frame with reflective mylar and throw in a fan. You're set.

once again, check out the box in my journal. The cardboard only acts as a wall to enclose the top shelf of my closet, but its a box nonetheless. Hasnt been a fire hazard for me, cuz all my lights are all hooked up properly. been usin it for the last LONG while, and hasnt done me wrong man...

Shit, I say if you can grow out of a cardboard box.. more power to you.
