Ok I got a completely hypothetical question here. Lets say one lived in the U.S. and was going to Amsterdam. Would it be a bad idea to flatten say 2 grams of hash and put it in a letter and mail home using a different name?

Remember this is hypothetical and I would never do such a thing.

What you should do, hypothetically is not mail it to your home. If you mail it somewhere else with someone elses name on it then hypothetically you are in no trouble.

Just think about it a little more and you should come up with a no risk solution

Hypothetically it's a big risk but if you want to take the chance you need to find a good way to hide it I work for the Post Office and anything from another country gets ripped apart in customs so really it's not the best idea

Scent dogs aren't trained to sniff out seeds - they are trained to sniff out weed, hashish, and most other common drugs. Pretty much any mail that goes through customs gets the dog treatment from what I understand.

Proven fact: Dogs can find a gram of weed sealed in plastic, then frozen inside a 5lb slab of hamburger and stashed inside a sealed cooler whose interior was sprayed with perfume or febreeze.

I read in another forum that mail under a certain weight (1oz) doesn't get checked, thats what brought this up. I know about dogs and all the other shit but I'm maintaining a very small weight so that is what I think is the key. I could be wrong though so that is the info I'm looking for. Hypothetically that is. Growjoe do you know anything about this?
