How to send a private message

This will show you how to send a private message to someone.

No one else can see these messages except for the person you send them to.


one

Find the user on the forum, or search for their name.
Click on their name.

Click on "Send a private message to ------"
This will open the message page.




Three

Type out your message.
Click "submit message"

While in chat type out the following command:

/msg nickserv help

It will give you all the commands you need to register your nickname.

I'm a newbie here and have been trying to post on the welcome thread for two days and it won't let me.. I don't recieve an error message or anything, it just won't let me post, it's like my keyboard quits working.
What am I doing wrong?

In all honesty i'm not quite sure whats wrong, try getting ten posts and see if you can do it then..

HOW TO GIVE REPUTATION


one
Find the person you wish to +rep or -rep, click on the scales in the top right hand side of their post.




Two

Click on the appropriate rep (+rep or -rep) And add a comment, it's also nice to leave your name, click "add to reputation"




Three

Click ok. You have now added to someones reputation.

Click on the box "!!" which is located in the top right hand side of ever persons post.




Two

Fill in a message explaining why you reported the post.
Click "send report" and you are done.

To change your nickname in chat, type the following command :

/nick thenTypeYourNickname

HOW DO I EMBED A YOUTUBE VIDEO?

It is simple.

you will need the "CODE" of your Youtube video.

This is the jumble of letters and numbers at the end of the Youtube videos URL.

Copy your youtube videos code and paste it between the following "commands" Make sure you take out the spaces between the brackets and the words.

My code would look like this :

[ youtube ]uWtaGI9zuIY[ /youtube ]

Without the spaces this is what you will get :

It is simple.

you will need the "ID" of your google video.

This ID is found after "docid="

Copy your google videos code and paste it between the following "commands" Make sure you take out the spaces between the brackets and the words.

Without the spaces this is what you will get :

hi i was just wondering, how on earth do you add a photo to a thread? its doing my head in, help.

I was dickin around with the site about two weeks ago and ended up changing the skin of the site to the new look.

Anyway I can't seem to figure out how to give reputation on the new looking skin, the scales are no longer there in the threads.
