when plants are on 12/12 do they still grow when the lights are off , or only when there on

they sleep in the dark period and produce resin

A plant is always growing, It's not like when you turn the lights off the plant dies. Then when you turn them back on it miraculously regains life.

Yeah it doesn't eat in the dark. Plants main source of energy is obviously the sun (artificial sun) and soil (nutes)

Cannabis grows in vegitation due to the amount of light it gets, and flowers due to the amount of darkness it gets, the plant absorbs the suns/lights energy in the daytime and stores it up, then uses it at night to repair itself and grow. As do humans, when you work out and eat in the day, your body repairs and grows at night during sleep. Plants also respire at night, they exchange the Co2 taken in at daylight, and release oxygen at night.
