I want to know what is the lowest wattage light mh or mps I can use and still get decent results in a say 3/3 or 4/4 ft space,and what about if also use a couple cfl`s any info would be greatly appreciated,I lost all my contacts for good bud and at my age I would rather grow my own,I grew three plants outside and two were males and one little female thats starting to bud but it`s not going to produce much

check this chart out. you're going to want a 250, 400 or 600 watt hid depending on how intense you want to get and the final size of your grow room.

For maximum output the 400w hps would be a very nice setup. But cfl's work quite well expescially if heat is an issue. T5's would work good too. Depending on starin and conditions you would probably get about an ounce of dried cured bud per plant with cfl. Probably 2 to 3 ounces for T5 or hps.

that all sounds great I just don`t wont the electric bill to go sky high,I was thinking about the 400 watt that you can use both types of bulb,I don`t know if the 250 will be strong enough?

if you can handle the heat you should go with the 400

400 watt HPS on AVERAGE in USA will cost $18 month to run 18/6.

The 400 is what I use. I bought a conversion kit so during veg I use MH then during flowering I use HPS.

what`s a 400 watt add to your electric?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decently priced 400W HPS setup? My area is a bit smaller and I am thinking to use a dark room so I am hoping that will be more than enough working with about 24.03 cubic feet anyone see a problem with that??? Thinking about a passive hydroponics unit holds up to 6 plants...suggestions (besides nutes,ventilation, odor control, watering and feeding cycles...ive looked into and think im on the right track with that)

I got a 400 watt hps on ebay with mh bulb for 100 + hipping. I wud spend more though and get a digital ballast if i were you. I got the htg euro hood for inline cooling because i found out that light get real hot lol. That was 100. I got a 25 dollare 6 inch duct fan for light. I got a 4x4x6.5 tent for 95 dollars on ebay. I have a dwc bubbler going whicj i uggest u make urself outa rubbermaid part and net pots for almost nothing. Add airstone and this a first timers dream come true. Gotta run .. .
