Default Carbon filters...
Is there any kind of carbon filter that doesnt need a hole putting in the wall?

Just make your own. A 5 gallon bucket works good. Just put it in the middle of the room. The problem is you still need an exhaust vent somewhere and if you have an exhaust vent some of the smell is going to escape there.

They also do scented ones..might keep the other half happy

dont you need some kind of fan pushing the air through the filter for it to work though??

Default my set up
this is my carbon filter set up at the end of the ducting i have a fuel
funnel to narrow the end to fit a standard washing machine hose which
in turn is poking ot the window no holes needed this
works dam fine

Well you have to have some sort of inline fan attached to the carbon filter to actually vacuum up the existing air then it gets treated in the carbon filter then it gets expelled to the outside. You may wanna take a look at ductless sytems but I am not sure if there cfm suffices for odor extraction and treatment. Might wanna just invest in some ona gel or ona spray.
