mr. fishy, one foot fred looks pretty sick, how long did it take to grow? I might go with topping now because the box ill be growing is gonna be wider rather then tall. do you know any good trimming, shaping, and topping guides online because i really dont have any idea what im doing?

redline, wouldnt i want to keep the bottom branches on because i want my plant to grow outwards?

This is gonna be my second grow, (my first failed after about 2 weeks) and i want to just get one under my belt. I might go 12/12 right off the bat if its faster just so i can gain some experience then on my next grow go with topping. but idk, decisions, decisions... Could someone ball park what i might yeild if i go 12/12 right of the bat? if its less then 15 grams then ill prob just go with topping. And thanks for the help guys

we have the FAQ stuff on here but when a plant is getting to a sertin hight of 1 branch you want to top / clone the top part so that it will stop growing taller on that part and it will start to redirect the energy to the otehr parts to grow up twords the light

yes but once the plant gets realy tall the bottom will grow slower but you want to take the bottom branches off when flowering to redirect the energy to the other part of the plant

depends on the strain , the strain that takes longer (ie. 10 weeks) should give you more comparted to a strain that takes 7 weeks and it depends on the gens. because some plants of the same strain might and proibly will mature faster then the other plants of the same strain

It's a long story (re-veg), but lets just say it took 100 days.

If you want to try this, first things first. Grow your plant until as bushy as possible. Pinch/cut the main growing tip at 5-6" to promote side growth.
At about 8-10" . . . sex it, ie: go 12/12 until stretch is completed.

This is very easy to do, but could take some practice.


Keep top of plant as close as possible to light source.

Re:12/12 . . . It's my impression that this grow method would contain lots of little pots, not an effective single plant method. 14 gms dry would mean about 60 wet, so you can see how productive a single 12/12 from seed would have to be.

could i clone with a 12/12 light cycle? if so then i would veg 3 or 4 plants at 18/7. then when they reach about 1 foot i would clone a female and switch to a 12/12 light cycle, all in the same box. So i would be flowering the females from the original grow and i would also be cloning on a 12/12 cycle. i would clone on a larger scale then the orignal grow bc 12/12 right away would not yeild to much with only a few plants. Would this work?
