hey all..... im starting this little thread just to show all what im doing. its kind of an experiment. I know that everybody and there mother will say that CFL's can only be used for Veg. however. I know a few people, 2 online and 3 in life, who have had very successful grows with using only CFL throughout the entire process. right now... what I have i know is not substantial for either growth period, but for the moment, it keeps my plants looking ok. im using a 2 foot 2 bulb fluro lamp w/ 2 20W wide spectrum OTT-Lights and 1 17W/75W grow light. right now my plants are about 12 days old and are already working on there 4th and 5th set of leaves, even though they are only about 3-4 inches tall. and a split,Y, is on each of them as well. when my setup is finally completed, my grow box will be 3 foot tall x 2 foot wide x 20 in deep. i will be running 6 23W/100W CFL's and 4 17W/65W CFL's. all 13,600 lumens on one canopy. and I know, HPS and MH are better, but for what I can afford, this will wrok for me i think. i will be growing, hopefully 2-3 females, providing the six I have only produce 3 males. the previous setup is on a small shelf which will be above my box and will be my germination/early seedling/early veg stage area. I will be keeping this updated if anybody cares to follow it and I hope that by 30 days, they will all be atleast 12" tall and i will be able to begin the flowering process. also I am using a LSM I learned from reading one of Dierwolf's posts on it. well all, wish me luck

Good luck with the grow. I started with 7 (added an 8th later) plants and it looks like I will end up with 2 females.

I'm using almost the same lighting and having pretty good results, just make sure you keep them short and tied so light can reach lower bud sights when flowering, I have 2 remaining out of 4 that are 4 weeks into flower and I have pretty good looking buds at the top but the lowers are lacking, in process of adding T5 side lighting to complete, then change to combo of T5 and CFL's for next round, cabinet is almost the same size also, will be watching your thread.

ok.... my babies are doing good. 2 of them are like mutating, 1 is fucking huge and 2 are just getting started. this is only day, i think 15. so anyways, there final home will be here saturday. my lighting came in the mail yesterday and im getting the rest of what i need friday. i want to see what everybody thinks about this. my plan is to grow in the box for about 20 days after i get it on either 24 hours of light, or, 20hrs on and 4 off. after the 20th day or so, i will be lessening the light they get by 1 hour per day. so... my plan is to flower before june 30th at the latest. hoping for something earlier like the beginning of june or close to it. I will be switching from Miracle grow soil to scotts soil. I have found that Scott's has a more neutral Ph. so anyway... I will talk to you all later... see ya

Hey Man, I use Spiral CFLs and I get great results. Look at my grow in GROW ROOM setups, under R for Roseman. I have 4 85 watt bulbs, 2 are red spectrum, and two are blue spectrums.
