Post I think I have a good light for growing ?

I have double bulbed floursent greenhouse light . I am wondering if it will be good enough to grow some plants.

Hey dude, what wattage....and floresents are good for vegging, but youll want to get either some HPS or Metal Halide lights for when they get bigger. 400, 600 or 1000 watt is good, 1000 best of course. If you really want to get 400 or 600 watts, be sure to get two and get some ventilation cause those lights are gonna generate a lot of heat....best of luck

unfortuantly thier not cheap......but better to do it right.....other wise its not gonna be worth your time

I am just growing two plants so I dont need a huge light , but I do agree
with u. Doing it the right way is much better .

I just found out that my light is 120 volts is this good or bad ?

Im currently using two 145 watt floresents to start off my plants...once they get big im gonna switch to the HPS. Those lights should be good for a bit but like just when you can try to switch the the HPS or youll get little stringy ass buds...

Hehehe. They are all going to be 120/ 240 volts.

What we want to know is watts. Regardless I would look into a hps light. You can probably get away with one of those 275watt hps lights(under $100). But bigger is going to be better when it comes to lights.

I will have to look into it, I can deal with a 100 $ light right now, after a few plants I might upgrade. Thanks for the help .
