I dont know wtf i did to my plant but in 8 days it quadrupled in size.
this plant is growing under 2 cool white 45w cfl's
strain: cinderella 99
flowering- auto( thats what friend told me)
sex- ???
LST-ed
ferts- 10-10-10
reflective surface- aluminum foil

also, every part of the plant is sticky as fuck. i smoked 4 bowls of dead leafs and i got RIPPEd.

if it is actually a auto, then can i leave the lights for 24 hrs rather than 12?
Do you think it has started flowering yet? ( cinderella 99 shows sex before flowering thats why i asked)
When will i see the buds?
Is it a good idea to trim out yellowing/brown leafs?

yes I would trim off the leaves. the plant has no use for them.

But as far as an auto flowering plant.....never herd of it. I do believe that someone was pulling your leg sir.

Well,

First off I will say the usual. Avoid tinfoil! It creates hot spots on your plants and can burn the leaves. Go get some Mylar or if in a grow box use white paint.

For autos I believe you can do 24 hours the whole time. For the first month of the plants life I believe you can do 24/0 auto flowering or not. Not 100% sure on that though. I am not even sure if auto flowering plants are legit lol. Probably are (Ive heard of auto lowryders)

I am not good at determining flowering or sex but I do not think it is flowering yet or showing sex quite yet.

Yes you should get rid of the yellow/dieing leaves.

I grew several AF's and the best light regime i found was 18/6. I used 400w HPS thru the entire grow. I also found that males show in approx 17 days and females a few days later (usually day 20ish) If the leaves are 50% yellow and dying off, then trim them. Otherwise just let it be. Use a veg fert until week 3 (10-10-10 is fine) then go to a bloom fert (10-15-10 is fine) for weeks 4,5,6,7,8 and flush on 9 harvest on week 10, maybe 11. This is just my humble opinion and advise from growing several different AF's. They are much easier than a conventional grow. K.I.S.S. and they will grow like crazy. I averaged almost 2 oz DRIED from each plant!

but you grew and that is what you say so i will go with it...
too early for sex those thinge you are looking at are called well i forget the name but they fool amany new grwers .
males will show first
if it is an auto ,it will grow and flower under 24hr
myself i would use 18/6 it is a living thing and wants to rest as well

Sorry, one more thing, 1 - 3 gal pot size is recommended. I always used a 8" pot....it was just over a gal size and ALWAYS worked perfect. And for the quality, well, its definately not the best, but its not bad either. My shit was sticky too but I dont know about getting ripped on dead leaves? Maybe you have some new super strain?

auto flowering strains come from hermies and will never produce a male seed its either female or hermie . so dont worry about males worry about hermie

as for light shedule most auto flower strains call for 20/4 but 18/6 will work as well and saves a bit on electricity

also i will second the tinfoil being bad bad bad get yourself some mylar

Phinxter, dude you couldnt be more wrong about AF's. I have grown many out both male and female with NO HERMIES. I have pollinated, produced seeds and have grown from those seeds. The light and tin foil comments are spot on. Swampy, Phinx, check out this thread. Definately some great info on AF's.
