Hey there

this might help...

Males are often, but not always, tall with stout stems, sporadic branching, and few leaves. Males are usually harvested except those used for breeding, after their sex has been determined, but before the pollen is shed. When harvesting, especially if close to females, cut the plant off at the base, taking care to shake the male as little as possible. This helps prevent any accidental pollination by an unnoticed, open male flower.
When a male enters the stage of flower development, the tips of the branches where a bud would develop will start to grow what looks like a little bud (little balls) but it will have no white hairs coming out of it. Females will have no balls and will have small white hairs.

Thats what i know

3 weeks is too early to sex them
Not exactly. You can flower a 1 week old clone.

What I would do is try to clone atleast 2 clones off each plant. Make sure you label what mom they came from. These will be destroyed after we use them. So take your 12 clones (since you have 6 plants) and grow them for a week or two untill you see roots. Once you see roots then stick the clones in another room with 12 hrs light and 12 hrs of complete darkness. After about 10 days you will start seeing the flowers of the plant. The males will form first. Once you find a male then destroy it and destroy the plant it came from. After its all done you will only have female plants. Destroy all the clones and start fresh with new clones or bud your moms. That will get rid of a lot of waisted time and energy. Im sure I left you with more questions then we started with so ask away.

you seem like you know exactly what you're doing....i was hoping you could give me some advice...this is my first time gowing..i started out with some seeds that i got out of a bag of middies. i planted 2 seed without germinating them...my plant is about 4 inches tall. there are only 4 leaves on it.. ive had it set up for about a week now..how long will it take for more leaves to appear and the stem to thicken?? how tall should the plant be when it is time to start flowering?? i have a 300watt light.. and ive already transplanted into a larger pot. thanks

For the plant to produce buds you will need them to be female, To sex a plant in the early growing stages do the following:

1) take a clone from the unverified plant
2) label the clone and the mother plant so you know which clone came from the corresponding mother
3) Flip the clones into flower mode
4) watch them and they will show their sex.
5) Once the sex has been shown go back to your grow room and toss out all corresponding males.

Good luck

When I first read this, the little voice in my head sounded slow and mono toned. Kind of like when your talking to a telemarketer from another country that can't understand you. I've seen this topic 10 times

easiest and only way i know how to sex a plant is check the major trunk stem going up from the dirt, from this you get side branches that come off it, check rite where they first 2 branches meet from the main stem , now look at these branches closely and you will notice 1 of 2 possibilities, first you want to see is 2 lil what look like white hairs coming up out of the split from the main stalk, if you don't notice the 2 lite green, yellow hairs then look to the underside of the branch where your looking for the male's balls balls are bad, now some can be hermaphrodites (have both sexes on 1 plant) those I have actually kept before and just plucked off the nuts. lol yes I neutered my plant and watched the new limbs closely for sexual orrientation and the rest of it came out to be female so I kept her and watched her closely but fully separated it from my other ladies, and come to my surprise still bidder up very nicely and actually turned out to have FAR more trichomes than any plant ibhave ever seen, I actually took that plant and used it just for wax concentrate, and i got triple the average than most of my other high yielding wax dispensing plants, so it's not a waists of time and space if you take the time to neuter it and continue its healthy life regimin. just make sure that after neutering the plant that all new shoots are done hermaphing and are ready to be and commit to being just a lady plant. which means no more fresh nuts production any where else (new sprouts and sprigs especially) and make sure you got all the balls clipped or plucked off and thrown far away from your plants, I would also single it out removing it from the larger group just in case, and let it grow as a stand alone, no sog for that he/she/it\ thing lol and keep it just for the trichomes,, make a nice fresh batch of shatter, wax, or cold watter extraction hash, all very simple to do if you just have a few extra minutes and the rite tools to do the job quickly, safetly, and properly. just watch a few YouTube videos, and boom, you to can make your own wax, shatter, keef, hash,
