Thanks for input cr8z13, im a painter and decorator and always thought silk/glossy was shiner than matt/flat paint i thought matt absorbed the light and silk bounced it off?

Glossy is shinier, and that's the problem. Flat paint reflects light evenly, whereas glossy sort of acts like a mirror, causing more sporadic reflection.
