im just germinating some seeds at the mo my cupboard is 2ftx2ftx8ft.
the cupboard is in 2 halves 1 with 125 blue cfl and 1 with 200 red cfl envirolites. was thinking of sog or scrog? would 8 6 inch pots be ok for a sog? or 4 10inch pots be ok for scrog? please help? ive read u can use 4 pots per square foot for sog and 1 pot per square ft for scrog = my room dimentions 2ftx2ft each half. much help needed as im very new but ive read quite abit though

for a SOG, 6 inch pots should be sufficient. 4 per square foot, you are correct in your thinking. keep control of those temps.

cool cheers for that man. so i can have 16 plants going under that sort of light? how long would i veg far? im obviously starting by seed but when theyve grown ill clone them, so i need to know how long to veg from a seed in this enviroment? and how long to veg from a clone. im gonna put in 2 pc fans for air thanks.

test the temperatures before you use the area, you'd be surprised how hot it can get, and quick. pc fans are good but sometimes still don't cut it. when to flower your plants depends on your lights and your space... and YOU. keep in mine they will double-to-triple, in size the first 2-2.5 weeks of 12/12(flowering). compact floro's while a pretty good substitue for hps/mh lighting, do not penetrate far. so you want to keep your plants short.

thanks alot ive just thought i cant use scrog for a cfl grow can i? cuz id have 2 keep moving the lights?
